When these two bands met for the first time in a small bar in Germany, 2010, it was love at first sight. A mutual adoration of blast-beats and booze ensured that the relationship blossomed, and it has now finally yielded fruit in the shape of a beautiful new-born 7" vinyl. Now it is up to you, the listener, to ensure that this offspring is carefully nurtured and cared for so it doesn’t turn into a sociopathic freak resembling its respective parents. We hope you will give it a good home.

Proving that there is more to Poland than strong beer and cheap labour, Suffering Mind serve up another platter of devastating top-notch blast. This is a band that churns out the vinyl as though the format was about to run out – they have released an almost constant stream of wax in just about every size and colour imaginable over the last couple of years, but they keep the standards as high as the strength of the spirits they drink. This time round they dish out 4 shots of 79% proof grindcore (including an Assuck cover) that will leave you dazed, damaged and dribbling.

On the other side, English morons The Afternoon Gentlemen try to keep up to speed with 6 of their own concoctions, albeit resembling more of a mutant mixture of cider, tonic wine and cheap sherry. This cocktail comes with a grindcore umbrella, but is served in an unwashed powerviolence-shaped glass, with more than a faint whiff of bin-juice.

THE AFTERNOON GENTLEMEN // CHIENS split 7"

With financial crisis ravaging the Eurozone and midget Sarkozy accusing prick Cameron of being 'childish', what better time to cement Anglo-French relations, and what better way to do it than a grindcore split 7".

The English gentlemen and the French dogs go head-to-head on this record, belting out 10 tracks of high-speed power-violent grind in under 9 minutes. After sharing stages together across Europe in 2010/11, 2012 begins with both bands seeking maximum destruction via frantic riffing, rapid blast beats, ear-splitting shrieks, and cheap alcohol.

The Afternoon Gentlemen play foolish fastcore decorated with an assortment of vocal styles, with lyrics veering from silly to serious and back again, exploring visions of life lying in the gutter or queueing at the dole office.

Chiens attack your ear-drums with rabid, snarling grindcore, packed with tempo-changes and some of the most insane drumming ever heard, with the emphasis on speed and agression.

In April 2012, TAG and Chiens will consumate their marriage with a 8-date tour of Western France (14/4/12 - 21/4/12).
