LENGUA ARMADA Pre-orders: Five new seven-inch EPs Release date on all 5 eps is JANUARY 10TH.
VACCUUM 7” EP (350 black wax 150 red vinyl.)Five tracks of screech-and-squall soaked hardcore from the Bay Area.Unlike a lot of what's happening now, it's not another Kyushyu-a-likeclone here. Just simple hardcore that covers all ground from mid-pacedto blazing through the course of this EP with feedback bleeding fromevery pore. Nods to all times and places throughout the history ofhardcore punk without sounding like anything specific.
NECROMONGO 7” ep (350 black wax 150 color vinyl.)This is a new band out of Peru that has produced a rough and nasty sound on this first ep release. These older punks have come together to bang out 4 trax of in-your-face hardcore that’ll sit with you long after the record is done. You’ll hear many influences throughout the EP but all will appreciate what Necromongo has concocted as their own. Definitely a killer listen.
PORCODIO 7” ep (350 black wax 150 color vinyl.)If you are like me and get sick of lame comparisons for a band only cuz they sing in a certain language that they automatically should sound like classic bands from their region. This is a bit disappointing when it does not meet those expectations. Not the case for Porcodio, a mostly U.S. band with a vocalist who traveled from Italy and laid down these killer tracks. Great hardcore punk that may possibly get compared to old shit but who cares cuz this record is awesome! Get it.
CRIATURAS 7” ep (850 black wax 150 color vinyl.)This Texas band released a demo last year that did not leave my tape player for months. I love this shit. Female fronted hardcore with one of the most tuneful yet ferocious voices laid over some amazing song writing that will leave you craving for so much more. This should be the new sound of an era. Great!
TOTSUGEKI SENSYA 7” ep (350 black wax 150 color vinyl.)Their second solo EP for Lengua Armada. This record destroys just like their first EP. Expect over-the-top audio aggression from this Gunma-City Japanese band. From start to finish Totsugeki Sensya (which translates to ATTACK TANK) doesn’t let up, leaving the listener confused as to why they have not heard any hype on this band, cuz T.S. is so deserving. This record was released in memory of late guitarist Shinya who passes shortly after this last recording was completed. It is an honor to be releasing this record.
