What the fuck happened to punk rock in 2010 - it's disappearing again
up it's own arse - has it really become about sitting in front of your
computer waiting to pre order a record - it's fucking music and if
someone wants to hear it - let them be able to buy it. it's become an
elite load of bullshit. bullshit smells and so does 5 versions of the
same record - fest cover, coloured vinyl pressing for the band,
screened sleeve version, hand touched by the singers cock version and
other never ending ways to make your shit record look interesting.
Why does no one do 'pay no more than' anymore? - because it's
embarassing writing pay no more than £15 on the front of a vinyl
album. Records do not need to be expensive but get a few middle men in
the middle and bosh. We want and DO release quality product for a
reasonable price. where else can you buy a vinyl album with a 20 page
colour booklet and poster for £5. nowhere. We are the judge and jury.
We are righteous and PC and make no qualms about it. It's time to take
punk rock back and make it pure again.
Demo tapes goes back to the old ways of doing it - saying fuck off to
as many people as we can. We have rules for the label and our rules
are law. once again in case you don't know......

Demo Tapes are watching at all times to make sure these rules are
kept. Just ask the two traitors who sold our releases on ebay. This is

A Touch Of Hysteria - 1983 Demo one sided 12"
a touch of hysteria from cumbria, released this demo tape on 96 tapes
back in 1983. it was the only thing the band ever recorded and the
mob's label all the madmen wanted to release it, but ran out of money.
the 5 songs are dark and moody anarcho punk that brings to mind the
more depressing bands of the era. from the mob to part 1 and a lot of
rudimentary peni but also theatre of hate / the pack. how this has
remained unreleased until now is quite unbelievable.

The Mental - Extended Play LP
the mental formed at school in late 78, were based in melksham
wiltshire, played 10 usually chaotic gigs, got played twice by john
peel, sold all 600 copies of the first ep and split in 1980 before
getting the money together to release the second single. the 'extended
play' ep was released on their own kamikaze pig records and is as rare
as horse shit. last year it was placed in the top 50 all time rare
punk records in record collector. it's a classic, it's raw, it's
basic, it's punk rock and everyone should have a chance to hear it
without paying 75 quid. the four tracks from the ep are backed up with
the four tracks from the unreleased second ep 'shoot the hostages'
which are just as chaotic. the band also released one other demo
'never mind the quality' but these tracks are not included. after the
mental, singer dick tate went onto a life sentence of punk with the
subhumans, culture shock and citizen fish. steve - the bass player had
a brief spell in the stupid humans.

Solvent Abuse - Last salute LP
17 track collection of the complete demo recordings of Nottingham's
UK82 band Solvent Abuse. it features four demos that were recorded
between 1982 and 1984 and include the one track that was included on
the insane records substandard compilation album 'demolition blues'.
It comes with a 12-page booklet with vintage photos, fanzine cuttings,
etc..

Violent Uprising - 4 Track EP One Sided 12"
The one and only Demo from Preston's Violent Uprising is a crude and
raw 4 track recording of d-beat inspired hardcore. The recording was
produced by Bambi from Discharge. The 6 minute, 4 track 12" comes with
a 20 page colour booklet and poster.

Blyth Power - A Little Touch of Harry in the Night LP
A Little Touch Of Harry In The Night was the first release from Blyth
Power. It was originally released on 96 tapes in 1984 and went on the
sell over 1500 copies on tape alone. These were the early, primitive
and best recordings from Blyth Power. It captures a moment in time.
These recordings were done on a 4 track recorder in the Basement of 96
Brougham road, Hackney. Blyth power were formed from the ashes of The
Mob - rhythm section Josef Porta and Curtis were joined by Neil from
Faction and Sarah on Backing vocals. The LP comes with a reproduction
of the original 24 page booklet plus a futher 4 page insert featuring
clippings, handouts, gig listings and stuff.

Passion Killers - They Kill Our Passion With their Hate and Wars LP OUT IN 3 WEEKS
Passion Killers were from Barnsley, South Yorkshire and featured Dave
Lentil, Daz White and Boffo. All three members were later, heavily
involved in Chumbawamba but at the time of this demo Boff was already
only on loan from Chumbawamba. This 1983 Demo was recorded in one day
at Lion Studios, Leeds and features 11 melodic, simple, anarchist pop
songs. The Band had already shared a split tape with Chumbawamba on
Sky and Trees but this demo is the jewel in the crown of the Passion
Killers recorded work. It features 'Start Again' which was released by
Crass on 'Bullshit Detector 2'. The LP comes with a huge
booklet featuring photos, lyrics, handouts, clippings and other stuff.

Zut, t'es toujours sur paris david ? Si oui fais signe qu'on se paye un verre à l'occase. Y'a pleins de concerts à venir en plus. Tu m'as peut-être vu j'étais à coté du merch en train de vendre 3 ou 4 disques.

Le aspirations a été repressé par mark murmann pour la tournée. Dispo dans toutes les bonnes crèmeries.

Nan, je suis plus à Paris. En fait, on a accompagné le chanteur de Thrashington DC dans son roadtrip Clermont-Fd/Brest/Paris/Clermont-Fd. Rentré hier. Fatigué...
Et en effet, je t'ai aperçu. Bah on se captera une prochaine fois.

* Unlogistic / Crippled old farts slip lp. Une face plus variée qu'à l'accoutumée pour Unlo qui doit déjà se réjouir de tous les hurlements provoqués par leur horrible morceau électronique, COF excellente surprise, son demo très direct bien réussi, Stéphane chante largement mieux qu'avec les customers et ça le fait bien, la fin de la face m'a moins plu que le début plus percutant, certainement trop de morceaux mid tempo à mon goût. Un disque de la "scène" local qui fait plaisir en somme...
* Desecrator / Agathocles slip ep. Rhaaaa desecratoooooor
* Napalm death "peel sessions" boot lp. Sessions 87 et 88. ND + peel sessions = succès d'avance
* sissi lucheni demo cd. Bien chouette et rugueux
* Ursus live @ chiquito. Très bonne surprise, plein d'énergie, pas trop salon, simplicité du groupe qu'est content d'être là et tchatche avec les gens... Ca fait plaisir.
* Lobster killed me @ chiquito. Plus qu'un guitariste mais ça gagne en spontanéité, plus direct. Grande tradition du groupe d'anciens parisiens qui jouent trois plombes! (perso, j'en redemande)
* Tarwater "silur" lp. super chouette
* The birthday party "bad seeds" 12"
* The residents "wormwoods" cd
* Amon düül II Phallus dei + Yeti lps. Perso, j'adore.
* DNA 2xlp. J'aime beaucoup mais trop long ce disque... (morceaux en 15 version etc)
