| First three LPs are mandatory:
* s/t (1979) * Répression (1980) * Marche Ou Crève (1981)
Forget anything after that. There are English versions of the 2nd and 3rd LP (entitled Repression and Savage, respectively)... but who wants to hear Bernie sing in English? His lyrics in French are great (dude is now a rather famous movie director). There is an early EP before the 1st LP but I think it's pretty rare and I'm not familiar with it.
Nicko McBrain played on the 3rd LP, right before he joined Iron Maiden.
Trust opened for Iron Maiden on the "Killers" tour, and according to some, they almost blew them off stage.
Dennis, I can tape you those LPs if you fancy that.

| Trivia: I remember when I was a kid, my dad found a killer TRUST hat with the bulldozer logo on the beach, and wore it for the whole summer... Which made me laugh at the time, 'cause my dad is the least rock'n'roll person ever. Actually I was kinda jealous he found the hat and not me... | |

| merci Jean-Luc! Hilarious story!
I actually have the first lp coming my way as we speak. I got it for $9.99 from someone here in the U.S. Thank you very much, but I don't think it will be necessary for you to make a tape...unless I can't find the albums...I think it will take some digging, but I should be able to turn them up eventually...I would imagine there were a good amount of the 2nd and 3rd LPs records made?
That video of them walking around in the junkyard is too funny.

And Clive Burr played on the 4th LP, right after he quit Iron Maiden !

| Dennis, second hand Trust LPs are easy to find here, so let me know if I can help... The band was HUGE in the 80s.
And yeah, that "Antisocial" video is priceless. So tough! Haha.

Bernie is mostly famous for making bad french movies if you ask me (ok you didn't ), except for "Les Demons De Jesus", his first and only good one.

| a CD box-set also got released very recently, featuring a lot of material up to their 5th and final album for CBS. It features the original recordings, plus english versions when they existed (2nd, 3rd and 4th albums). It also features a CD-EP with some B-sides (called "The backsides", not really interesting), and a totally unreleased 2CD set featuring their live gig in Nantes during the Repression tour in 1980 (their best so far). No LP release of this box (11CDs in all). If you want something cheaper (!) there also exists a single CD live album entitled "Trust live", also recorded during the Repression tour in various venues (Nice, Nantes, Lyon). This one is a REAL killer, with an incredible rough sound and their best drummer to date, Kevin Morris (later in Dr Feelgood). It features tracks from the first 2 LPs, plus one from the then unreleased 3rd LP. The opener is "Darquier", a track which appeared only on a 7 inches, as a B-side of "Le Matteur" from the first LP, and some compilation. The studio version also appears on "The backsides". This live CD (no LP release) is as essential as the first 3 LPs. The power of each song is just multiplicated over and over... The intensity of Trust's gigs at that time was apocalyptic. They came and played in Nice for the last time in 1980... I think they are still forbidden to play here as fans used to smash car windows within a radius of 100m around the concert hall after the gig ended - at least this is what I've been told. These were the good old times of Jacques Médecin, who was a far-right mafioso and the mayor of the town (and who later fled to South America with 4 billions Francs - i.e. about 1 billion dollars - he stole in the city's cash...). I didn't attend that gig (I didn't live in Nice at that time), but I can guess what the speech of Bernie must have been... I think that the show got played live on the radio. I'd be curious to listen to the full tapes... A last CD-EP exists ("Prends pas ton flingue"), featuring very early tracks, despite some songs of the same era are missing. This CD is extra-pricy now, despite I've always read claims that it features very weak tracks. By the way, Noir Désir - another left-wing french rock band - is also forbidden to play Nice since their 1996 gig, when they claimed on stage that "The city mayor takes more care of the palm trees than of homeless people" (which by the way is totally right) - and the crowd answered "Peyrat, fuck off!" several times (Peyrat was the new mayor - and used to belong to the National Front and had been a very close friend of its leader J.-M. Le Pen). | |

| Oui, il avait déclaré pendant la campagne des élections présidentielles que c'est pour Bayrou qu'il voterait. En même temps, il avait déjà réalisé Blanche alors il était pas à une connerie près! | |
